Glen Aros Homestead

An American Style Bungalow’ was the phrase most often occurring during the briefing stage of this project. The original homestead, designed by Alfred Garnett in a Californian Bungalow style, had good bones –but had been subject to piece-meal modifications over the years. A complete internal re-modeling was undertaken, with appropriate external modifications –sympathetic to the Bungalow style aesthetic. Colours, finishes and lighting were sensitively selected to relate to the period. The second stage of the project asked for a large garden building for garaging and recreation that was complimentry to the homestead.  –The timber pergola in conjunction with the spectacular pool and extensive landscaping, unite and complete this very special development.
