Landscape Architect / Urban Designer

BOON are looking for a motivated individual to join the team.

Formerly Boon Goldsmith Bhaskar Brebner, we are a design company of some 45 years in the making and employ 24 talented and Taranaki based staff. We are architects, designers, building technologists, and project managers. We are a member of the TEAM ARCHITECTS group of companies with nine offices through NZ and our public, private, and corporate work takes us from Northland to Southland, Australia and Asia.

Our practice structure is based on a spirit of collaboration, an understanding that nothing happens in isolation, and the premise that the contribution of all people within give the company its form and strength.

Our projects are increasingly multi-disciplinary and as a Landscape Architect/Urban designer with BOON you will cover urban master planning, development scheme plans, landscape design, RMA landscape and visual assessment work.

 Applicants should have experience in:

  • advocating for good landscape design in the urban, rural and coastal environments,
  • landscape planning, with particular experience providing landscape assessment evidence for the resource consenting process. Environment court experience is a benefit,
  • urban renewal and the master planning of small to large sites,
  • working with clients and community stakeholders on social and community facility projects,
  • working with a variety of stakeholders, including local and central government, as well as mana whenua.

Remuneration will be negotiated and be commensurate with your skill set and experience. Part-time or flexible working hours will be considered.
