A new four-storey development at Cambridge Resthaven is well underway, with TEAM Architects Hamilton expecting the first stage to be completed early 2023. The Vogel St project includes 77 apartments, a café, shop, library and recreational areas. The shop and 33 apartments will be completed as part of the first stage.
The studio, one and two-bedroom apartments will be situated around a central courtyard and gardens, and first-floor apartments will have a balcony.The project is designed to provide an environment for residents that allows them to live as they would in their own home. They can be supported more as their needs change, but the project aims to remove the ‘institutionalised’ aspect of traditional resthome care.
